It lasted just 72 days but it officially ends soon. Kim Kardashian has just officially filed for divorce from her soon to be ex-husband Kris Humphries. Citing the ever-popular “irreconcilable differences” Kim ends one chapter and instantly begins another chapter in the roller coaster affair that is her love life. The wedding which cost a reported $10m has broken down beyond repair for Kim, though Kris hasn’t given up hope of salvaging it, commenting: “I’m committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents.” Kris adds, “I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce … I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”

This quick marriage has also led some to speculate that the whole marriage was a sham in the first place, a plot to make money for the Kardashian brand. When one considers the amount of publicity, and the amounts that have been reported to be paid out for exclusive coverage of the wedding, this doesnt seem such a far fetched theory. When one adds all of that to the fact that the divorce story will generate a lot of media interest, the theory becomes even more plausible. Before we go too far down this road though, we need to remember that nothing happens these days without some cynic trying to explain it with a conspiracy theory. Expect to hear plenty more. In the meantime, here is a statement released by Kim on the divorce:

“After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision.”

Kim adds, “I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.”

Khloe Kardashian also commented through her twitter account claiming the family has been getting hate mail after news broke of Kim’s divorce … writing, “Reading some these comments r so hurtful. Im grateful 4our fans who understand & r being respectful. Hate is disgusting. Love is everything.”

Khloe adds, “Thank God for family. We are strong and we will only become closer! I love YOU.”

How f***** up that we have evidence that the big Banks have been corrupt, yet our governments aren’t punishing those that have stolen from the pension funds.

Our Politicians are puppets for whoever pays them into office. That’s how f***** our system is. Their broken promises for change cant happen especially when the system is corrupt

And children who need a meal go without because our politicians won’t stop thinking of themselves long enough or how to win the next election, too look around them and see how bad it is.

You aren’t helping Mr politician, things are getting worse here in the US, in Europe, Africa everywhere!

Im f**** angry that Children are dying everyday.

There’s hard working people out there who do give a s***.

Problem is those with the power – government and big business, want this system to keep going. Its suits them

I don’t want to do business with these f****** anymore. Do you?

if a company isn’t giving back, stop buying from them. Buy a pair of shoes from TOMS (who give another pair to someone in need), look for companies that aren’t paying lip service to community / charity

we are more powerful than the big business and politicians realize……we have the power to stop buying their products, banking with them.

your dollar, that you worked hard for, does have power.

together we can say – WAKE UP A-HOLES! The game is over.

THE WEEKLY WRAP-UP

50 CENT, FLOYD MAYWEATHER AND MIKE TYSON WOKE UP WITH A STREET KING HANGOVER

50 CENT DOUBTS LIL WAYNE’S NUMBERS

Never one to hold back, 50 Cent expressed scepticism at Lil Wayne’s reported record sales for his Carter IV album: “To be honest with you, the Lil Wayne sales are a little suspect to me. Because it was trending 600,000 pieces that week. And they didn’t do a million copies, it was like 900,000.” In regards to Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III, which sold a million copies in the first week back in 2008, 50 gives Lil Wayne his props: “Tha Carter III was definitely hot. He did that.” 50 Cent goes on to say: “Tha Carter III commanded that energy, but the last one that just came out, those numbers are funny.”

Lil Wayne’s numbers surprised most including Mr Carter himself: “I was very surprised. I did not think I was gonna do that. I mean, I already did that–I sold a million copies the first week [of Tha Carter III]. I never imagined it would happen again. I think we’d be some greedy motherf*ckers to expect it to happen again, and I’m still shocked that it did.”

Fishy numbers or conspiracy theory?

LIL WAYNE HAS NEVER HEARD WATCH THE THRONE

“I haven’t heard the album,” Wayne said in the latest issue of Vibe. “I’ll probably never hear the album.” Don’t worry Wayne, you’re not missing much

KREPT AND KONAN GET SHUT DOWN……THEN GET BACK ON AGAIN

Krept and Konan’s version of Otis, which was getting a lot of attention (5 million hits in a month to be precise), got removed from YouTube in the past week because it was deemed to violate copyright laws. If you believe internet rumours, then the order to remove it came from Jay-Z himself. The video resurfaced later this week:

This was Krept and Konan’s reaction to their video being removed from YouTube:

“Copyright just shot me and konan in the face! ‘Otis’ audio and video deleted because we weren’t meant to be claiming money from it, as its copyright. YouTube, suck ya mudda!” – Krept’s twitter

He later tweeted “I reckon Jay-Z was hating and said to YouTube, ‘Ahhh, hell nah! These lil’ ni**as can’t be making money off me and Yeezy’s s**t.”

Then followed that up by saying: “I reckon we should take the bars and put it on a similar beat and re-upload it. Producers holla!”

And finally “At least 5 million people across the WORLD have seen it! Let’s keep it in memory by watching the 4 million plank video!”

LMAO. THE FANS CHOOSE KREPT AND KONAN OVER JAY-Z AND KANYE WEST

METHOD MAN SAYS WATCH THE THRONE SHOULD HAVE BEEN JAY-Z AND NAS INSTEAD OF JAY-Z AND KANYE WEST.

“I mean, Kanye’s a genius—I love the dude—but Watch The Throne should have been Nas and Jay. Niggas would still be talking about that even if the album was wack. I’m not taking shit away from ‘Ye. Kanye and RZA should go in maybe. Maybe Kanye and Dr. Dre. But as far as emcees, Nas and Jay.” Its hard to disagree
